His teacher told him to take art more seriously… and here is his rebuttal on his final project.
Brilliance. Don’t ever let an art teacher tell you what you need to do to be an “artist”. That’s up to you. This kid fucking rules.
A friend said that artist can be full of shit when they try to rationalise their creation to the audience. Well this piece of art just looks like its made up of shit. Really cool still.
My sculpture/performance piece is inspired by Carl Jung’s psychological theory about the shadow. It concerns with the repressed ideas, weakness, and desires of oneself that the conscious mind refuses to acknowledge.
It represents my ‘shadow’ which involves my hidden desires to be different and become perfect in my own right. We always feel the pressure to be perfect by everything around us such as the media, social network, advertisement, friends, and family.
Really enjoy Alf as a kid, how great it is to have an alien friend! Just like how awesome it is to have robot cat that can pull advance technologies from its pocket.
Never thought of how sad he must be, now that everyone in his home planet died and he’s the sole survivor. Like Superman, but with no power..
